I ate by far the most delicious fish that I have ever eaten in this city during this fair 3 years ago! Funny, it was my first time in the fair and I could not go again because every time I wanted to go again, something else came up. But this year I am going to be there my friend, I-will-be-there: Baltic Herring Fair 2015, or Silakkamarkkinat in Finnish, or if you prefer Swedish, Strömmingsmarknad – in Kauppatori! This year’s fair will be held in 4-10 October 2015. (Photo above by Jenni Pulli, taken from Flickr).
I woke up this morning at 8. I was just staring at the ceiling, and thinking to myself, damn I have the greatest headache of all times! Hangover, hallelujah!!
I woke up to a – yet again – shabby winter morning on Saturday morning. There was not even a hint of Sun, the sky was covered with clouds and what’s worse, it was evident that soon was coming my arch-nemesis when it comes to weather: the rain.. However, I was not at all feeling bad. On the contrary, I was feeling quite happy and excited, because it was yet another “recipes evening” that night!
A nice and cozy day in my dear kitchen is like this: I bake something that smells and looks delicious, making the whole apartment warm and tasty, whereas my flatmate is on her sewing machine, creating a dress, a bag or getting ready for her next workshop (makeable4u.wordpress.com).
