2022 is here, and the first recipe I chose for the new year is my version of “mücver” – aka Turkish courgette fritters. I added carrots to it and used cornflour to take the moisture. The result is a delicious gluten-free dish.
A few weeks ago, we had a lovely raki and mezze night with my boyfriend and two of my closest friends. Raki is the national drink of Turkey, and it is my favourite alcoholic beverage. But I don’t love just the taste of it; I love the whole “socialisation, eating long and drinking long with people you love” aspects of it. And of course, the mezze that comes together with it is equally important!
Last month I bought a cookbook named “The New Mediterranean Table”. It consists of recipes that are inspired by traditional cuisines of all the countries around Mediterranean sea, spanning three continents. The first recipe I wanted to try from the book happens to be the first recipe in the book (oh wow how interesting is that heheh).
